PRODUCT DETAILS

This internally threaded flatback stud earring/labret can be worn day and night without poking your neck or back of your ear cartilage or earlobes.

What is G23 Titanium?
G23 solid titanium is by far the top choice for body piercings and can be safely used for initial piercings. Implant grade titanium G23 (Ti-6Al-4V-ELI, Certified ASTM F136) is the material used in surgical implants, is biocompatible (friendly with your body), much lighter than surgical steel, resistant to body fluids and 100% nickel-free.

What is Internally Threaded Post?
Internally threaded post has a threaded hole inside the post, and then an external thread protruding from the stud. A smooth post passes through the piercing, and then the stud is inserted and screwed into place.
The Association of Professional Piercers (APP) sets the standards to be followed by professional body piercers, and they make their position very clear in regards to threaded jewelry: "Internally threaded jewelry is part of the APP standard for initial piercing jewelry: the part of the jewelry that passes through your skin is smooth, and the threads are on the removable end(s), such as balls, gems, or spikes. Internally threaded jewelry avoids any possibility of scraping your tissue with sharp threads, which is especially important with fresh piercings."

Q : i am a little confused' we just found out the hard way my daughter is allergic to nickel her ear is infected' anyway she needs a longer post which one above do i need to pick for a longer post the first choice or the 3rd choice
A :

The standard size for healed piercing is 1/4" (6mm). If you want the longer one, 5/16" would fit most ear piercings.  Select the 5/16" from the first option. The 3rd option is only optional if you need an extra post.

Q : Can these be used for nose piercings?
A :

Yes, you can if the piercing gauge fits.

Q : Is this for a pair of earrings or just one?
A :

Solid individually as noted right under the "add to cart" button.

Q : Hi What's the threaded size?
A :

0.8mm

Q : on the picture it says gem size. is the picture to scale? It's a little tricky when looking at the model.
A :

The most accurate way would be for you to have an existing gem that you like measured and order the size based on that measurement.

Q : Can you wear these four regular lobe earrings?
A :

Yes, 18 gauge will fit your regular earlobe piercings.

Q : How do you insert the stud in your nose? Do you put the set in first or....?? I've always had it changed and would like to do it myself!!
A :

Insert the post inside your nostril and screw the stud in.

Q : I'm having trouble unscrewing the gem to get it in my piercing' any tips? The flatback just spins between my fingers while I try to unscrew the other side with my other hand.
A :

Please try using rubber gloves which will give you a better grip.
